Apple airpod is the most popular wireless earbud in the market (via Apple). In fact, according to businessofapps, the company sold around 110 million in 2020. One of the things that makes airpod so popular is the way they integrate with the rest of the Apple ecosystem – expand it, and add additional features. For example, Siri integration is much easier with airpod, with a virtual assistant can quickly respond to text and phone calls.
While airpod is often considered exclusively in the context of Apple users on iPhone, laptops, and desktops, the device works well with Android, too. While airpod may not have some of their Apple-exclusive features when paired with Android, they can still work as the perfect functional earbud for music, podcasts, and video audio from video streaming. The best of all, using it with Android does not require a luxury trick for pairing or operating – not hacking, no rooting, nothing is too wild.
Pairing airpod with Android involves several steps, including post-pair steps to recover several functions. First, open the Bluetooth settings. This can be done by swiping down to display the quick settings panel and press the old Bluetooth icon, or by going to settings> Bluetooth. Next, select “Pair a new device.”
Then, open the airpods charging case and press the button on the back. After airpod appears under the “available device,” select them to pair it with your phone. According to XDA, after your airpods in lie with your cellphone, you can use an application such as the trigger assistant to configure your pro airpods to trigger the Google assistant, instead of Siri. For example, squeezing stems (forced sensors) of airpods pro activate siri, but the trigger assistant allows you to change the behavior to use Google Assistant. This application can also be used to enable features (or reenable) A which displays the airpods battery level on your mobile.
Similarly, Apple notes that you can use the iPhone to adjust the airpods control. Even after you switch back to your Android phone, the customization will still exist, provide a lot of iPhone user functionality.
